About the Artist - Heather

Tell us a bit about yourself, your background and how you got into NFTs? Hi, I’m Heather Arcelli and I’m an illustrator from NY! I graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Illustration in 2019 and since then I’ve been doing my thing freelance-wise while staying busy as a cake decorator. I’m always looking for new projects to take on so when Joe (who I’ve previously had the pleasure of working with) reached out mentioning a new NFT project he had for me, I was all for it.   What made you pursue NFT art? I had only recently been told by a friend that I should ‘look into NFTs when Joe came to me with this idea. I...

Monday Artist Feature - Drew Delmonico

What do you make/create? What's your medium? I'd like to my think of myself as a modern day renaissance man, but in reality I am probably more of jack of all trades and master of none. I make a little bit of everything. I tinker in the kitchen, on the canvas, behind the camera, but my main focus is clothing design. The goal is to make this (Delmonico) a global brand and use our platform to create positive change.    What inspires you?  Where do you go for inspiration? Walking around the City, handsdown... The people, the architecture, the barrage of wheat pastes everywhere you look, the tagged stalls, it's like a shared canvas that 8.5 million contribute to intentionally and coincidentally....

What do you make/create? What's your medium?I make abstract paintings and textural collages. I literally use everything I can get my hands on. Lately I've been making collages with used RFID paper and discarded canvas. I love making work that stands off the substrate--work that really breaks the fourth wall, that plane that separates the audience from the story. What inspires you? I love forlorn places weathered by time--shipwrecked vessels and abandoned places, attics stuffed with forgotten things. You can feel time in their gritty outsides, the accumulation of dust and decay. And yet they remain. They remind me not of the fragility of life but its resilience. Who is your audience/ideal eyes for your work?People who want to stay and...

Where were you born and raised?I was born and raised in South Jersey in a small town called Mount Holly that's located outside Philadelphia and on your way to the shore. I rework the pieces, give new life to them and name it after the donator. I tag the original owner in social media so they get to see the sustainable journey they've...

Monday Artist Feature - Emily Higgins

Where were you born and raised? In a small town in Massachusetts about 30 minutes south of Boston. What do you create? What's your medium? I call my work “sculptural painting” for a lack of better words. I paint large pieces of paper and then alter the paper and apply it to a canvas or foundobject in a more sculptural way. When did your creative journey begin? I began to seriously dive into art in high school, and in college was a studio art major. Freshman year of college I took a painting with acrylic class and for the final decided to create my first rolled paper piece, which is where myreal art journey began. I spent the next three years completing that firstrolled...
